Biography

Sharlton Hercules, RMT

 

In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer, Sharlton is also a Registered Massage Therapist, a Certified Sports Injury Therapist, and a Licensed Medical Acupuncture Provider.

 

Sharlton graduated from the Sports Administration Program at Durham College. He received two diplomas (with honours) in Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Therapy at the Canadian Therapeutic College.  He is certified as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and a Corrective Exercises Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.   Sharlton has completed the Medical Acupuncture program through Mc Master University.  He is also a Certified Functional Movement Screen professional (level I and II), as well as, a Fascial Distortion Model Provider (upper and lower limb).

 

His specialties focus on athletic strength and conditioning, deep tissue massage, muscle energy, strain-counterstrain, myofascial release, joint mobilization, Shockwave Therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, interferential current, cold LASER therapy and athletic taping and bracing support.

 

Sharlton was also a therapist for N.W.H.L.’s Etobicoke Dolphins and C.W.H.L.’s Vaughan Flames and the head therapist for Team Ontario, silver medalist at the 2007 Women’s ESSO National Championship.  He has worked with athletes from Team Canada’s, USA’s, Switzerland’s and Norway’s National and Olympic hockey programs.

    Congrats on your new institution- you’ve brought it all together wonderfully. The name Hercules says it all: strength of body, mind and spirit and will have clearly all gone together to create this strong fitness institution. I look forward to visiting hopefully within the next year ( I think it’s just what I need.) I like the fact that you’ve included the nutrition and lifestyle dept. And the acupuncture! It’s certainly all inclusive.
    I can’t wait to visit.
